Cleaning my driveway...
ferry
Hi all
I'd like (when the weather improves!!)to clean up my driveway which has become dull over the years. How can I restore it to its fromer glory?I've tried some B&Q stuff(cant remember the make)and found it wasn't that good.
I dont have access to a pressure washer.
it has that type of criss cross block paving style which has sprouted weeds in between the blocks..the blocks have kind of 'browned ' over the years too
Any advice or ideas please?

I know you say you dont have access to one but it is the easiest way the alternative is on hands and knees scrubbing at the dirt and grime.
Jet wash will be best as after you can use it to clean the car and anything else. even your drive next year.
go buy one they are no longer the expensive luxury they used to be0 -
Start off with the strongest weedkiller that you can get (something like Roundup or Pathclear) and give it time to take effect. Then consider the best way to clean the blocks.
You will probably find that you will need to weedkill about twice a yearI'm Glad to be here... At my age I'm glad to be anywhere!!
I'm not losing my hair... I'm getting more head!!0 -
Get a cheap pressure washer, even go halves with a relation or neighbour. Aldi often do one in the spring for £40- £50. It will blast some of the sand out but that's no bad thing as it will look like new with a couple of bags of fresh sand brushed in. Make sure and get kiln dried stuff from a builders merchant. As mentioned, do the weedkiller thing a couple of weeks before, Pathclear is really good.0

Hi
Pity you didn`t live nearer as i`ve just started up my own buisness as a chemical operative.
Basicly it`s spraying Turf and Hard surfaces for Algea,Moss, weeds ect.
Also i do power washing as moss needs removing once it`s been treated.
there is quite a big market for it !
And the equipment is only cheap to purchase.
thanks0
