    Last Christening I went to (back in 2006) there were so many ladies wearing hats you had to stand to see the the font and the baby getting it's head wet!

    I read somewhere that Christenings are becoming occasions for families and friends to celebrate the parent's cohabiting-coupledom.

    My gran would always say sunday best is one thing but you dress better for matchings, hatchings and despatchings:cool:
