they'll be fine together, as long as they're the free versions without real-time protection. Just don't scan at the same time and you'll be ok.

I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple :D
  • No conflicts as stated above - Personally I would not bother with Ad Aware.

I run the paid for versions of MalwareBytes and SuperAntispyware and they do not conflict either, so you will be fine.

I would recommend SPYBOT in its place as its immunise feature can be a life saver

  • Actually, I WOULD bother with Ad Aware because it was the only app out of the 4 mentioned here that found a part of a bad virus I became infected with. The others missed it completely. Although Ad Aware could not delete the threat, at least it alerted and allowed me to manually remove it. Quite amazing that the others didn't find the threat considering the thing was in it's own folder!

Anyway, the moral of the story is that all anti virus/spyware apps will find some threats and miss others so I say it's best to use as many as you can be bothered with providing none of them conflict.

It's just a shame that my paid for Kaspersky Internet Security Suite let the virus through and only alerted me once it had installed itself and wreaked havoc. The only apps that were able to remove the virus were FREE. :rotfl:

    Very true statement.
But your story is only 1 against a story of thousands
