New Dfw Member :)

:DOk, Vaguely in the past remember being a DFW,

Well im back and this time im kicking the debt for good,

From last time an update:

Satisfied both of my CCJS :D:D ,

Manage to get a vanquis and capital one and contract phone to build up my credit rating again, Know what we got left to get rid

Lloyds TSB = Approx 400, - Awaiting bank statements to arrive as im sure worth more then that,

HSBC = 2600 - Currently got hardship claim going in for 1100 so should make a nice dent

Natwest = Well dont get started on them they claim i took aloan but never did so thats currently in dispute, But i did owe them for a overdraft so im awaiting for there response on this to see how we can go forward

Next = 100 - Will pay it off by the end of the month

Ok so not a major ammount, But this year i have got to realy kick it, Out of work at the moment but making a good income of ebay and doing a bit of work for a mate, Am i best getting rid of next them lloyds then concentrating on the hsbc ?.

The good news is well i say good, Split with my partner so back at the parents so havent realy any bills to pay, Just mobile and internet bill to pay so hopefuly can get debt free asap, Being single isnt realy helping the situation, And kinda worried what a partner might think always hidden it before from them to be honest

    Hi jakemuk

Estimated value of loan (theirs and yours?)

Always better if you like the person to be up front and honest before it gets too serious. Dating is one thing...planning for a future together is another .......not just you...she may start doing this well before you ( us women have a tendancy :o ...etc etc) So you need to be alert and make sure she is aware before she starts "planning"....

See you in manchester Hun..and well done on your new determination....GO FOR IT!!

Both DH and I had debts walking into this relationship - I was tackling mine - he took a little training :) did his debts bother me? No not really - I know that I could have waited for someone else to come along whom I also fancied the pants off, who could make me laugh, that I wanted to spend time with and who was as honest about his state of affairs...
I don't mean lay it on the table at the 3rd date :) But there is always hints you can use to lay the ground work - be frugal - buy nice presents by all means but then reduce the number of going out dates that month and stay in, explain if asked that "x cost quite a bit but you're worth it, just means can't go out much this month but I'm sure you don't mind right?" and if they mind - she ain't a keeper ;)
