Abbey Mortgage - Insurance charges Please help....

about 3 years ago i took out a abbey mortgage through an agent (as it was my fist time and had no clue :rolleyes: )
The mortgage went through providing i took out a insurance paying approx £30 a month to cover incase i was sick, made reduntant etc. The payment was taken with my mortgage. As i didnt have any choice i had to take this offer.
Can i still claim this money back???? even when ive now switched mortgages will abbey still refund me????
Advise needed, please help

the reason being that i had no option to opt out and this was abit unfair.....
