Good evening all,
Hope I'm posting this in the right place, apologies if not. I can't seem to find the answer to my question through previous posts.
I have held a Littlewoods account for a few years but have never had cashback. To be honest I knew nothing about it till searching around their site tonight. I see that new accounts don't get cashback but how long do you have had to had account to qualify?? Also is there any chance of me getting any of the cashback backdated if I do qualify? I am a good customer who always pays. To be honest I feel a bit ripped off that they have never told me about it.
Any help much appreciated
Thanks

interesting as i just started paying for my latest order and i did not get any cashback on it like i normally do. Are littlewoods making it no cashback for everyone now? or do they think i would not notice? I have not seen any amended terms and conditions? I wonder if its worth getting in touch with them.0

I have just emailled them and will let you know when I get a reply. I thought if I could see what is happening with other people it will give me a better idea of how to take this forward.
Ps thanks for your speedy reply0 -
I've just copied this from their site, i hope it helps
Certain customers may be invited to register for Cashback. If you have been invited to register, once you have completed your registration and your qualifying payments reach a minimum threshold, you can earn Cashback on future account payments.
Please note, this scheme is closed to new members. For existing members, once you have completed your registration and your qualifying account payments reach the minimum threshold, you can earn Cashback on future account payments.
For every £10 you pay, you'll earn £1.25 to spend in your book or £1 to take as cash. Your latest statement will show you just how much Cashback you have earned. Cashback will only be earned if the qualifying payment is at least £20. Payments will not earn Cashback if your account is in arrears or debt recovery. Cashback amounts under £10 can only be spent in the catalogue and cannot be taken as cash.
Cashback can only be earned on items that are purchased through a credit account. If an item is purchased for cash (e.g. using a credit or debit card or other payment card or cheque), the payment will not qualify for Cashback.
Unless otherwise expressly stated, reduced or specially priced items and items offered for sale in brochures or other non-catalogue publications will not qualify for Cashback. Cashback will not be paid on any product arranged, such as insurance, extended service plans, etc. Delivery charges, administration charges and payments made on your behalf when you claim against your Account Cover policy will also not earn Cashback. Cashback cannot be earned on payments using Cashback itself.
When Cashback is earned on a payment it is available for two years from the date of that payment. Once this period has expired, it can no longer be redeemed. In the event of a nil balance on your account for 26 weeks or longer, you will lose the right to redeem any accrued Cashback and the right to earn Cashback in the future.
Cashback is earned with Shop Direct Home Shopping Ltd (SDHSL). If you so request, SDHSL will pay your Cashback to your credit provider, who will deduct the sum received from the balance on your account. You will have no right to offset your Cashback against your account, and only sums actually received by SDHSL will reduce the amount owing on your account. However, in the event of any failed, missed or partial payment, SDHSL may pay any Cashback due to you to reduce any outstanding balance on your account. We reserve the right to vary or withdraw the Cashback offer.0 -

i think this is my prob possibly. I have been with littlewoods 11-12 years. last feb i ordered a washing machine 10 weeks later was still waiting and it was still out of stock so cancelled. only ordered again in october minimum payments are only like £4 . The item i bought was something like £70 with a fiver off for ordereing that month. i bet i fell outside the 26 weeks. But if they had not messed me about i would not have felt to peed of with them grrrrrrrrrrr. i think i will email them for clarification.
annoying thing is i also keep getting letters about warranties on the machine i never even recieved lol0 -
Thanks so much for that. Must have not looked in the right place for the info!!!
Thanks again

Also they don,t pay any cashback on sale items anymore.
I have had an account with them for 22 years. They put me on another account which was 10% cheaper than the main catalogue so no cashback, which I thought was fine as still getting the difference from main cat. Then they put me back on main cat with no commission. I had to fight them for it. As I only ever really buy sale items now I have received no cashback for over a year now. The terms and conditions have changed considerably over the years. I used to pay a percentage on the whole total now it's over 5months or a year each item bought. So I can owe £300 but still have to pay £87 pm. Years ago this was a lot less. I have a £5500 credit limit and have no interest of using it. Not wanting to pay 29.9% apr when I can use my Freemans acc and get commission on everything I order and interest free over a longer term."A life spent making mistakes is not only more honorable, but more useful than a life spent doing nothing." Thanks for this thread as when i looked at my statement late last night i found that my cashback has been removed and that was after i pasted the above info. I won't be using them again grrrr

I used to get 10% cashback on all my payments, but I noticed at the end of last year that I definitely wasn't getting 10% any more, it simply wasn't adding up! The last payment I sent them was £94.90 and I have got £2.15?? cashback from that. (The balance was zero before I placed an order for bedding which I then paid for in full.)
I just assumed that they had reduced the cashback to a smaller % or something and not bothered telling anyone, it wouldn't really suprise me. I decided to pay Littlewoods off now and just get rid of it, I have only got £53 to pay on my account anyway, (I bought myself a nice ring in the sale!) if I am not getting the 10% any more I might as well not use them.

I have recieved a note back explaining that the scheme is closed to new memebers. I have replied with a very strong letter stating that I have been a long time customer and feel I should be entitled to join. I have demanded a response off management. If I get no satisfaction I will close my account.
Will let you know how I get on.

I don't really understand why Littlewoods is doing this, surely one of the incentives for getting a catalogue at all was the cashback? If they are no longer paying cashback we might as well all shop elsewhere! :eek:0
