Part-time PPI claim from Yorkshire Bank?

Hi,
I'm posting on behalf of a friend. They work part-time (12.5 hours per week) and have done so for the past 10 years.
Over this time, they've taken out 3 loans and the PPI with it. The loans were from Yorkshire Bank. The PPI has been cancelled now but can I ask if it is possible to reclaim the PPI premiums paid based on the fact that they would have been ineligible to claim and that it was clearly missold.
Is part-time work a usual exemption from the PPI?
Thanks in advance.

Hi there
There's nice of you to help out a mate in this situation.;)
I think your mate has a case here, if only working for those stated hours then your mate was unlikely to have been eligible to make a claim.
Have your mate still her terms and conditions on hand?
If not she could request these from the finance companies and if not any paperwork request a copy of the agreement where your mate should enclose a payment of £1 per copy(per loan), this should only take 12 days to arrive from request.
However, mainly these policies state that to be eligible for cover, they should be working at least 16 hours or more.
I would check this link out here below which will give more info and there is a template letter on the link as well, but try to add in your own words with obviously own reasons, in the link there is more reasons which may also occur to your mate, add them as well.
They have 8 weeks to respond and another letter maybe required if not successful first time round.
If you keep us posted of this, we can help move on to the next step if required.
When reclaiming or requesting for paperwork from these companies, its best to post by recorded delivery.
Good luck and link here:;)

di3004,
thanks for the reply. I am all too happy to help my friend - I am pretty sure the PPI was flogged for the sake of someone's bonus but with little regard if it was appropriate!
Thanks for the link. I will put together a reclaim letter and send it recorded post.
Will let you know how we get on.0 -
