Help ?? PPI claim

Options
Hi Guys

I'm after some advice if anyone can help?!?! My partner was made redundant last year due to his employer going bust, we proceeded to make claims on all of our insurances - mortgage, loan and credit card. We are STILL waiting for the payment protection insurance claim on the credit card (six months later!) with the insurers saying they need more info from his previous employer -who is no longer in business and no-one can get in touch with!?!

We have complained to the credit card company, sent the insurers proof of unemployment and even got someone from the Insolvency Service to call them but still we are getting no-where. We have been advised to write a complaint to the insurer which I am in the process of doing but I want to know if I can ask for a refund of the PPI as clearly it was a waste of time having when they don't pay out on it!?

    Hello there

    Sorry to hear this.

Have you tried contacting the financial ombudsman service, they may be able to advise you here on who to write to, or offer to do this for you if you ask them if they can do this on your behalf, (if you've not done so already).
    Contact here:
    http://www.financial-ombudsman.org.uk/contact/index.html

Good luck and please let us know how you get on, I am sure others may post with some ideas as well, fingers crossed.;)
