London Tube Strikes 21st Feb / 2nd March

Hello all,

I am going to London by train, arriving in Euston, heading towards Shepherd's Bush Empire for a concert on the 21st Feb. I've read today online that there are tube strikes planned.

I've never used any London public transport apart from the Tube, so wouldn't know where to begin with buses, etc?

What's my best way to Shep's Bush, and more importantly, back to Euston again? Can anyone suggest any reasonable (and easy, stressfree) methods? Is it possible to drive into Shep's Bush and park anywhere for free / cheap from the M1?? I tend to avoid London driving as the train is so much more straightforward.....

Many thanks in advance.

Get off at Watford Junction. Train to Kensington Olympia, this is
about 10 mins walk from Shepherds Bush Empire (or a short taxi ride)

SHepherd's Bush is easy enough to drive to as it's just off the A40. Parking isn't cheap though - the NCP is about £2.40 an hour.
exil's suggestion is good but check times on the Watford-Kensington line as trains can stop early on. It's about a 15-20 minute walk to the Empire (just up Sinclair Road).
Otherwise you may be OK anyway. The previous tube strikes haven't caused great disruption and you have a choce of routes, either Euston-Oxford Circus (Victoria) and on to Shepherds Bush (Central) or Euston Sq - Shepherds Bush on the H&C line.
Another option is Willesden Junction to Acton Central on Silverlink, then the 607 express bus.
    Can I help?
