yeah you get dividends with cfds, if buying, but alternately if you're short then dividends get deducted.
I prefer SB just for the tax reasons0 -
what broker do you use ?
Accendo Markets - more through being impresed with their research over the last few days, and their reputation, rather than any particularly sound investment judgement on my partDoing my best as a contrarian investor...property, banking...let's see how it goes0 -
odl do guaranteed stop losses on their learner sb account btw0

As far as I know, yesDoing my best as a contrarian investor...property, banking...let's see how it goes0

Worth also looking at covered warrants - which are effectively options to buy (call options) or sell (put options) at an agreed (strike) price. Can do this on many online brokers....
Basically, you know the maximum possible loss at the outset ... stops on a spreadbet are not usually guaranteed !0 -
What kind of cost is involved in covered warrants then.
eg. To buy 1000 shares of BP 6 months from now for the price they are today0 -
...I'm thinking of long on BP myself...Doing my best as a contrarian investor...property, banking...let's see how it goes0

On Cfds I know selftrade offer 100 pounds if you fund your new CFD account with 500 pounds, and place a trade within 30 days.
I think etrade also have a similar offer0 -
selftrade is white label city index0
-
Do they limit how many labels you can sign up with because they have quite a few different offers0
