i do, i was only teasing about the other sites,
there are some good ones, but this is now my first choice.0 -
Oh dear, am I going to get shot for this?
http://downsizer.net
Yes, I'm involved with it :-[. But it's non-profit (actually I think it's just about breaking even on hosting costs, I don't run that side of it, all the content and tech is by volunteers who just want to help other people do it) and not a competitor to this site, in my opinion. I certainly use both a fair bit even though I've been busy there helping set it up.
Also https://www.RiverCottage.net which although not frugal or old-style style in name, still follows a lot of the same principles, making your own stuff. The Kitchen Garden magazine's website https://www.kitchengarden.co.uk is also good for advice on growing stuff to eat.
I've got some others in my bookmarks I visit occasionally, but these (MSE included of course ;D) are my favourites and the only ones I remember the URL's off the top of my head. ???0 -
i love river cottage, rarely do recipes, but it fascinates me what some people will eat. ::)0

I love River Cottage too, but can't kill things to eat. Such a hypocrite - will buy it from Sainsbury's without a face or fur / feathers. ??? :-X :-/0
