National Homebuyers has any one any advice about companies like this/

Hi All,

we are considering selling house, prob below market value for a quick sale and was wondering if anyone had dealt with these type of companies who

"guarantees to make a formal offer to purchase your home"

  • I have and to be honest i would say do not touch with a barge pole 90% of these guys are scammers or pay you practically nothing for the property. Go to CCCS (Consumer Credit Counselling Service) they are free charity of qualified debt advisors and solicitors they will book you an appointment to go through everything and fill in a load of expenditure and income forms to work out what you could do and what options you have open to you also speak with a few local estate agents in your area explain you need a quick sale and they can help you.

I have worked in property for 11 years and also fell into financial difficulty about 4 years ago with CCJ's the lot and was in a bad situation CCCS helped keep debtors etc at bay with minimum payments etc on the understanding my house was for sale and could be sold soon then the agents sold at just (£9k) below market value meaning i was able to pay off all debts and start again without being had by one of the companies your proposing. IVA's or bankruptcy does not always mean you have to loose the house seriously get advice before you go down that route.
