Claiming from HSBC - Help!!!

Hi all,
I seem to have hit a minor brick wall in claiming back approx. £1500 of bank charges from HSBC and need a little advice.
About a week ago I went into the branch and spoke to them about my charges. I am currently in a viscious cycle of them charging me, that taking me over my limit and therefore being charged again next month. I currently receive £312 a month as I was made redundant and returned to full time education.
As far as I can see, I have done all I can to reduce my spending to pay back these charges and get on track however with such limited income it's obviously not worked. When in the branch discussing this I was told the only way I could stop the charges was to claim them back, so I downloaded the template and sent it off.
This morning I received a letter saying they would not process my claim (despite arguing financial hardship under FSA waiver) and that they felt the charges were not unfair. They said I could go into branch and discuss ways to sort out my finances, however that is what I have already done and they advised me I should try putting in a claim?!
I know my credit score is seriously low now because of this and I am seriously concerned they will close my account if this continues.
Does anyone have any idea what action I should take next?
Thanks in advance

If you have included a request to be consider under the Financial Hardship criteria and they have ignored this, write again and let them know they must consider your situation under the FSA Waiver rules. If they still ignore, you can request your case is looked at by the Financial Ombudsman.0
