How Credit Scores are Calculated

even if you have not missed any payments, do you have a large amount of credit already, or a large potential amount of credit (existing accounts with low balances but large limits)?
are you on the voters roll, and for how long ?
more than a couple of recent searches ?
I do have a credit card and my payments are up to date. Not all my cards show on my report. I am on the voters roll and there are some recent searches. Is that bad - is that the problem with my credit report?0 -
My understanding is that searches against you is not in itself a black mark. It really depends how many searches and over what time. I suggested a link to some useful information in my earlier post. It says the same.
There may be something else in your profile that is of concern to lenders - they are being very careful in these times. Maybe everyone is finding it hard to get accepted for cards or mortgages - you may not be alone.0
