Can' help you with this week but in my experience the museums are rammed at half terms. The problem is exacerbated by the fact the the museums are free. If it rains it will be even more rammed than normal.
The best times to visit museums are when the weather is sunny. The man without a signature.0 -
We took the kids to the science museum on wednesday - queues for everyhing - total nightmare - we left after an hour - pity as we had traveled down from the north east especially to take them - oh well heres to next time.0

We went to the Natural Hisory museum yesterday, 45 minute queue just to get in, another 45 min queue for the dinosaurs. Don't bother, it's an absolute nightmare.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0

Went to British Museum Sunday - didn't get busy until around 13:00, we got there when it opened at 10:00. Remember there is no congestion charge on Sundays, and all parking is free. Worked out a lot cheaper(and more convenient) to drive than to get the train...0

I know it is late but on Monday 16th we went to the NHM and arrived at ten to ten. There was a queue of about 50 people. When the gates opened at ten we were inside the building within five minutes. We went straight into the Dinosaurs and managed to see them all in very relaxed atmosphere.
Then we did the mammels, birds and crawlies - by which time it was busy - so we went upstairs. We left at one o'clock and couldn;t believe the queue - out of the building and don the road past the science museum.
That knocked our idea of going to the SM for the afternoon.
Half term can be done though - just get there early!
We had also visited the BM the day before, a Sunday, at 3.30. No queue to get in and although quite a fewpeople were there it became progressively quieter the closer to closing time.0
