Capital One agreement letter

This morning I received a letter from Capital One;

"Please find enclosed a copy of the financial details of your Credit Card Agreement which were applicable when you opend your capital one account. We have sent these as the original copy which came with your credit card contained a printing error.

Since opening your account, your Credit Card Agreement may have changed and you will have received a Notice of Variation setting out the details. If this is the case then the enclosed financial details are not your current terms."

Firstly my card is that one with the nice big APR (34.94%) I don't recall receiving a Notice of Variation (whatever the hell that is):confused:

Has anyone else received this either of these letters?

    Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.

    Maybe an attempt to start to cover themselves against all these companies saying they can write off your credit cards.

    e.g. If you get a Cap 1 letter and do not ring them to say you have no credit agreement with them non-action might be seen as acknowledgement?

  • Yeah as sad as it is, I too checked this word for word and could not see any printing errors! Don't know if I should give them a call or not to try and clarify why the letter was sent?!
