Have been using Ad Aware SE Professional for a long time. The only downside is that i have to manually add updates to it. Since updates are still available i have never bothered to replace it. I know there are Adaware 2007 and 2008 version and now there is an AdAware Anniversary edition. Is it time for me to update?

Also reading a different post found out that there is an alternative to adawrae. There is malwarebytes and superantispyware. Can i use one of these alongside adaware?

Thanks in advance for replies.
Problem with having access to internet is that i get asked by many to solve their problems :( Well at least i learn something on the way :D

    personally, I'd say YES :)

Malwarebytes antimalware, superantispyware and spyware doctor would be a better combination. The first two (freee editions) are on-demand scanners, whilst SD (free edeition) has some real-time cover as well. Spybot S&D also has some useful features (Immunise and the Tools). I ditched ad-aware years back...

I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple :D

Can i have adaware se, malwarebytes and superantispyware installed on my laptop or will they cause conflict? Plan to use one at a time.

  • You can have all but The latter two are updated more regularly and personally I think they are far more capable at removing the found threat.
