sorry what is DIVX ..... I am currently looking into getting a recordable dvd player, we have a dvd system in my car, and wondered if recorded things from tv would play on the system in the car ? ? also want to get all the things off video and put onto disc to clear up some space on playroom shelves.0

i happen to have the liteon unit, and its anything but cheap rubbish. it has never trashed a disk yet, and does exactly what it says on the tin.0
