Click on the 'period' option and select 20 years, you'll see just how high gold is now, and how much lower it could go.

When it goes back down, that is maybe the time to invest some of your capital.

Mini, I'm not sure I can take you seriously anymore :o

If you want to get in to investing then start doing all those wonderful things that posters have recommended, i.e. research, run virtual investments, read up, etc, etc. There's always another opportunity further down the road.

If gold were to drop to $300-$400 whats to say it will go back up again or in what timescales. The reason gold is rising today is because of demand, if there's little/no demand then it aint going up.

Off topic..........Just on a gold TA note........... the price chart it is at or near to the top edge of a possible 'flag' which may mean a retracement to mid-$800. This would be nice as it would give a more solid base to a rise and would cement the continuation pattern to increase.

Having said this the Au price has recently broken a number of short-term resistance levels with some ease and so it might just blow up to the all-time high again ($1030ish). From here it may retrace and enter a trading range until it has consolidated and built a significant base again.

Of course this could all be 'borracks', time will tell.............
