When it comes to football, do you fancy yourself a star shooter? How about when it comes to capturing the beautiful game on film? In conjunction with the Sony Campaign Awar for amateur photographers, ShortList.com is giving one lucky reader the chance to win Sony’s Cyber-shot W270 digital camera, just announced this week!
Would be sports snappers take note: the Sony Campaign Award is a brand new amateur category in the Sony World Photography Awards global photography competition. Anyone can enter, and all you have to do to be in with a shot of winning is submit a single image that "captures the beauty and spirit of football in unexpected places," - but be quick, as deadline is just around the corner.
There's a fantastic prize to be won - two tickets to a 2010 World Cup football game and the opportunity to have your pic showcased in Sony’s future digital imaging campaigns. To submit your snaps, simply visit the Sony World Photography Awards website, and to start you off on the right foot, just answer the question below to get your hands on the Cyber-shot W270 and start capturing every detail of your best football experiences.

Shortlist comps important info
I'm posting this on the Shortlist comps which I posted yesterday, as it is rather impotant info and people may want to enter again to be on the safe side...

Important info if you've entered a comp since Tues 17th Feb

Dear ShortList reader and competition lover,
Some of you may think of the ShortList offices as a glorious, infallible, impenetrable citadel, unaffected by external influences or threats. Alas, this is only 99% the case. Since the evening of Tuesday 17th Feb, we have been experiencing extreme internet difficulties not of our making. We have been creative and industrious to ensure that our service to you, both in print and online, will not be affected, but there is one problem that we have no control over...
We have been unable to receive any emails, and this includes competition entries. We don't know yet if they'll arrive, like the cavalry, in one glorious charge, or slip silently like ninjas into our inbox, or whether they'll disappear into a barren nothingness, never to be read. So, in case it's the last of these, we would ask anyone who has submitted a competition entry since Tuesday to email us again. We apologise for the inconvenience, but you never know, it could be the best email you ever sent!
Apologetically yours,
Andrew Dickens
