Looking for Router Recommendations please...

Hi all, I currently have a Nethear DG834GT and although it's worked absolutely fine with XBOX LIVE for the last 18 months through my XBOX, now I have a 360 I'm having some probs.
I can connect to LIVE and can race one person, but whenever I try to join a group, I get the message "Unable to connect to all players".
From what I've read, this is a NAT problem (mine's registering as being 'moderate').
I've also been told (on the Netgear forums), that this router isn't compatible with LIVE; which I find strange considering the fact I've been using it for ages now.
Anyhoo, I'm looking to upgrade my router and wondered what I should be looking out for now.
I don't mind paying for something decent, so range and speed are very important for me... oh, and compatibility with LIVE through the 360.
Any personal recommendations?
Thanks

Strange, it works fine for me with my DG834GT. I've been playing PGR3 and Perfect Dark without any problems. The only time I do get such a message is when my internet connection is slow/poor (which is quite often being on Freedom2 Surf!).
Have you got any links to threads regarding this on the Netgear forums?
Also what firmware are you running? and is the mtu tweaked for your connection? what kind of adsl connection do you have and who with?"Boonowa tweepi, ha, ha."0 -

Hmmm, interesting, I'm with Freedom2Surf (2meg) and have noticed a drop in quality and speed since Pipex took over.
I have a thread going on the Netgear forums.
I'm running the latest firmware (V1.02.04), however the previous version (which I was using this morning) was exactly the same.
The MTU was tweaked for something a while back (can't remember what) but what would you suggest? Currently set to 1458 (on the router, 1480 shown in DrTCP).
Any suggestions gratefully received. How do you have yours setup?0 -

Ah you'll be on Ip-Stream, I got upgraded to the 8mb LLU and it's awful. My downstream is about 100-300kbps! I've complained (as have many people, just look on https://www.freedom2support.com forums) and getting compensation and regraded to Ip-Stream (then I'll probably go back to Eclipse).
Ok, sounds like you've got everything setup ok. I didn't have to open any ports etc... with mine, it just works by default.
I can't find much on the Netgear forums regarding it. I'll have a quick google."Boonowa tweepi, ha, ha."0 -
Would anyone know how I can get my router to have an 'open' NAT? I tried calling Netgear, as recommended by the XBOX Live Customer Services chappie, however I waited to speak to a rep for 20 mins, and on an 0870 number that sucks (yes, I did try the number on saynoto0870, without luck).0

Also, looking at the router admin page, under "Attached Devices" it 3 clients at present, two of them have different IPs but have the same MAC.
Is this something the 360 and the Wireless network bridge will do?0
