Quote for extension

Hi. We asked a builder to quote for two different plans for our kitchen. One was to extend into the conservatory making the kitchen longer and the other was to do as before but also to extend across the width of the house making the kitchen L shaped, the extra area being 3 metres square. The difference in quotes is £11,000. I think this is a bit steep but I was wondering if anyone could tell me if I'm right or just being tight. I like the work of this builder as he did our loft extension, but I'm not sure if he feels he is on safe ground so he can overcharge a bit.
Thanks Tagz

Hi JimArnold
The roof is flat and then slopes down a third of the way with roof lights in. Foundations will have to be laid too.
Thanks for your helpI would if I could but I can't so I won't!0
