Norman B, try imgburn, copies an image onto your hard drive then allows you to burn it onto a blank disc.
    http://www.imgburn.com/

Thanks for the tip. I did look at this software but I got lost along the way! I did not realise that you copied the DVD to your hard drive, I thought it just copied it onto another DVD. If I use Imgburn, once I download to my HD, where do I then look on HD to copy it to another DVD. As you can gather, I'm not that good with this 'carryon'.

Goto, tools - Settings - choose the Read tab, on the right hand side you'll see Default Destination, select Custom, this allows you to choose where the image is stored

Is that Tools in Internet Exolorer or when I'm using Imgburn? (Sorry)

Jason, thanks for reply. The DVD I'm trying to copy is a family holiday video. Not sure where the legality comes into this. It's only a video of my late Mum dancing with my late Aunt.

your video is 100% fine - my questions really were about the software. it's easy enough to find on google, but i wouldn't want to post links here just in case it falls foul of the T's & C's of the forum.

DVD Decrypter will always put the output in the default "C" drive, so it'll be easy to find.

if you don't have any luck with imgburn, then i'll pm you the links to the above software if you like ..

Jason, I tried a trial version of Nero 9 last night and I was impressed! Vey user friendly and very easy to use. But I'm keen to use free software, if I can. So I may continue with imgburn, which is not as easy (imo) as Nero but is free.
Thanks for the offer of links, yes please.:T
