Why recommend Primus??

:o I am confused by Martins new Land-line suggestions,as i am still using Just Dial saver for evenings and weekends,1899 for weekday`s,18185 for mobiles any-time and International to thailand mobiles at 1p a minute.All organised by the Orchid Dialler,which ive found to be brilliant.Oh and 0845 0870 are through BT.Can someone please tell me what i am missing,Ta

  • Your not missing much.

    Martin recommends Primus because you can no longer register for JDS as a new customer,due to takeover.

    Also members found JDS customer service lacking to say the least.

    Beware of Primus saver 2 and their sales/billing department. I registered with them in Jan of this year, and just had my first bill. I'd been charged for evening and weekend calls so rang and complained. They said that I only got free calls to other primus customers so I said I wanted to cancel my account immediately, they said someone in authority would call me back the next day. They did, but I was out, so I called back today and went through to customer services, who said I needed to call back in to their sales team. I did, and the sales team told me I needed to talk to customer services, and put me through. At this point I really started to get annoyed so told the rep what I thought of the primus customer services, they said that he would put me through to the sales supervisor, who was very competent and corrected my talkplan error, and refunded my billing error as well.

    Afterwards I checked my original emails and I had been connected to the correct saver 2 talkplan in the first place, so it makes you wonder what happened to my account for it to change by itself....
  • I've got much praise for Primus. I have only good things to say about their customer services, ie they have always replied to my emails in good time, and have explained clearly anything I've needed to know.
    Also, have been with this company since early October 05, and have had 1 online bill of 21p. Which in my books is a big thumbs up. By the way, I'm only signed to their free evening and weekend call option. I use 18185 and 1899 for daytime and other calls.

    Just reread my post and it sounds quite negative- just want to point out that once I got through to the correct person they were very good, even emailling me to let me know the tariff had been changed.
