EDF Website statement

Looking at EDF website .... their information pop-up, when comparing electricity rates states :-
"The Band A rate will apply to a block of 1000 kWh each year. This will be applied on a pro rata basis for each day covered by the bill and rounded to the nearest whole kWh. E.g. for a bill covering 90 days, the first 2477 kWh used in that billing period will be charged at the Band A rate. All other day kWh will be charges at the Band B day rate."
If Band A rate is applied to a block of 1000 kWh each year how can the first 2477 kWh on a 90 day bill be charged at a Band A rate???
Should this be 247.7 kWh on the 90 day bill or is it 10,000 kWh each year ........... or am I missing something  .

It has taken about 4,500,000,000 (4.5 billion) years for the Earth to form as it is now .........
and it'll only take about another 100 years for mankind to really **** it up!!!!

I think you must be looking at a misprint. The price listings I see all have appropriate figures. (1000 perr annum -> 247 per qtr etc)0

That's what I'm thinking ...... but which way is the misprint? Is it 1000 kWh each year as quoted, or should it be 10,000 kWh each year???It has taken about 4,500,000,000 (4.5 billion) years for the Earth to form as it is now .........

900 kWh per year on most electricity tariffs (1000 for others.) (I presume. I doubt whether even EDF are charging £53.55 per month in Band A standing charges!)0

Just for clarity ..... I said it was on the EDF website, it's actually on
http://www2.savetodaysavetomorrow.com/calc_edf.html?db=electric
which looks to me like an EDF website, but under another name. Just thought I'd clarify the website:o . The information pop-ups are on the next page after you've entered some details and pressed 'Next'.It has taken about 4,500,000,000 (4.5 billion) years for the Earth to form as it is now .........
