Just coming here to let off steam about RBS. I called last night to find out the settlement figure on my loan. It took me about 15 mins to find this out, and then the customer agent couldn't really tell me the exact details as the system wouldn't let him in, but in the meantime he was trying to sell me everything under the sun. :mad:
Saying things like why did I not choose my mortgage with them, which I told him at the time RBS couldn't offer me a good deal. He stated he found that hard to believe. My friend works for RBS and I had a meeting with the mortgage adviser there at the time and they couldn't offer me a good deal. He then (obviously looking at his computer and my desposits) asked why I took out my other loan with A&L instead of combining them together.
I'm just too nice on the phone, which is my downfall. I never let them talk me into anything but I sit nice and listen to everything they have to say. WHY do I do that?? Anyway the point of the that rant was to let off steam, it just annoyed me that I couldn't get the information I was looking for.
On a positive note however, I did realise after the phne call that I am due to finish paying my loan in Sept this year and silly me thought it was Aug 2010, so thats a bonus - and perhaps if I didn't call I wouldn't have realised until nearer the time:j
