furniture collection in Bridgend (CF32)

Hi!
My dad has recently moved into a care home and I am clearing out his flat this weekend. A lot of the stuff he has can easily be moved and sorted i.e. books, dvd's etc, but he does have some furniture that I won't be able to move and I was wondering if there were any charities in or around Bridgend (CF32) who would be able to collect furniture and give to families who need it?
Any advice or help gratefully received.

There's loads of charities that would be happy to collect it. You can contact your local emergency housing or domestic violence organisation. Some branches of Oxfam can collect. If you ring round a few places I'm sure you'll find someone to take it off your hands!0
