Kier, you are the one on the ground that has done the homework. None of us could possibly give you any better advice than you have given yourself.
It's like someone asking you whats the best island in the Caribbean - there are so many variables and personal slants, its an impossible question.0 -
Whats Moot mean?
- a moot question.
- Law. Without legal significance, through having been previously decided or settled.
- Of no practical importance; irrelevant
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -

I honestly think that your living in another world, where is the evidence?
Prices have dropped to a resonable rate it clearly they were 20-30% over priced but i doubt very much if they will drop further. I recon come end of 2009 things will have leveled off and life will move on.0 -
Do you mind if I ask how old you are Kier? Just wondering if you had any experience of the last recession and what happened there. We made it! Unfortunately none of us know what will happen tomorrow, and if I did I would win the lottery tonight(Fingers Crossed)
All we can offer is our subjective opinions to you,
I mentioned mine earlier on another thread. In my opinion being the person who has viewed the property and done my homework believe that I have a good buy.
You have two choices,
1, You believe the house/apartment is the one you want in the area you want and the price you want to pay, then you buy
2, You are totally unsure and it is not quite what you want but you will settle for it, then you keep looking like crazy until you have to sign on the dotted line, you can easily delay, talk to your solicitor.
Using the above you can not go far wrong, just do not go down the lines in future and say what if!
Good Luck, and only you can decide0 -

What you've stated is wishful thinking because you've been foolhardy enough to buy near the beginning of a house price crash. Maybe an estate agent told you the crisis was over? Don't believe what they tell you.
The market needs people to buy at falling levels during the crash. Let him be one of them.
It all helps the crash along.0 -
Plusses:
Cricklewood station nearby and good road links from A5 and M1.
Negatives:
Train noise and major traffic congestion.
I don't know what goes on that part of the line that bends round from Cricklewood to Willesden but the main part of the line through Cricklewood ( RHS of the picture) is the main first capital connect line from Bedford and luton to ST Pancras, Blackfriars and Brighton.
There is a real bone shaker that goes past just before 11pm. Try the flat with the windows closed then.
As for price is, I don't know that area precisely but I would suspect that the flats in the new development just north of the station would be more desirable than the ones sitting on the A5.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
