Thanks for this - I asked HSBC about this a few months ago and was told I couldn't do it - so they mush have changed their minds.0

Wow, I'm surprised that it's taken such a large bank so long to do this! My current account and credit card are both with Halifax, and they let you see everything online, whether statements (for current accounts, savings, and credit cards) or any other letters that they send out.
I had no idea that other banks were so, well, backward, in their systems.
As someone who is fairly young, so internet banking etc has been around through my whole adult life, I just expect this from a bank.0 -

there may be some confusion. (I actually think HSBC has the best online service available.)
HSBC has made available online access to recent CC transactions for years. However,
(1) they have always insisted on sending a monthly paper statement. That has now changed. Customers can now cancel their monthly paper statements and download pdf files instead. and
(2) previously only the last 30(or so) CC transactions could be viewed online. Now you get the full statement regardless of the number of transactions. And six months of back statements are available.0 -

No, I did gather that from your original post. I had just assumed that all the big banks would allow you to opt out of receiving monthly paper statements, and only receive them as a pdf or similar online.
I am still surprised that HSBC have only now got around to doing this.0
