Car insurance - no claim bonus

I have a 3 years of no claim history on my company car. I tried using this in claiming NCB on my personal car insurance, but refused on the grounds that I am still driving my company car.

Is this correct? I used HSBC Car Insurance. Is there any other company where I can use my NCB on company car? Thanks

There are plenty of companies that will accept it subject to you get the correct letter from your employee. Try a local broker as they will know or alternatively ring some direct companies

Yes, NCD is only valid for use on one car at a time.

As dogbot said, NCB can only be used on one car at a time. If you stopped having a company car at any time you could possibly find a co that would accept it but not whilst the NCB is being used.

This is not strictly correct in this persons case, there are a number of companies that will "Mirror" his company car no claims bonus on a personal vehicle. Like I said I recommend ringing local brokers as it will be quicker but you could spend time ringing round direct companies and asking them but would normally be quicker in this case going to a local broker as they will know which companies will do this

I didn't mention mirroring because I have never heard of a co mirroring company NCB on a personal policy.....that's not to say it doesn't happen though :D
