I bought a Freecom Digital TV DVB-T USB Stick Freeview receiver, and it works OK. However the recorded programmes will not play on Windows Media Player. I read elsewhere on Martin's website that this has happened to someone else, but I can't find the thread.
You can play it with the software that came with it. I have found that you can play it with Nero Showtime. Also if I copy the files they will play on myTarga DivX DVD player. I have tried to play them on another computer. Of 3 files I'd copied only 1 would play.
Anyone got any ideas of what is happening? The files did originally play on Windows Media Player. I've only had it a few days.
Thanks in advance for any advice. I'm not very technical.

Try using this avicodec @ http://avicodec.duby.info/ this tells you what codec the files are recorded in and if supported by your computer0
