do a lot of research and DIY so you dont have to pay any commission etc If i had any cash now i would put a small amout in a S&S and the rest cash. i know its gloomy right now but if your saving for the long term now is the best to buy so long as your investment is protected (i.e ISA):j0

You can always switch !!! I dont think natwest offers any fixed term deals so you should be able to switch...
