She has in the boot of her car a box full of snack foods, like snack bars, cereal bars and individual cartons of fruit juice, just in case she gets caught short as her days/breaks/journey delays are unpredictable. They're just always in there so wherever she is, she can grab something out of the boot instantly.
You can picture the scene.
Cop "What's in the boot madam?"
PN's Friend "Erm nothing, Just a large box of snack foods like cereal bars, chocolate bars, flap jacks, individual fruit juices just in case i get hungry"
Cop "Please step out of the car"0 -
Exactly!:T
I usually tell my OH to at least take fruit for the journey, but I don't buy fresh bread every day (only 2 of us, bread lasts week) and he preferes fresh bread if he does want a sandwich...And especially in the summer, sandwich that was on a car seat all day is not very nice, let's face it...
So I have pre-packed lunches, he doesn't. Convinience.
Got me thinking, i do love a nice fresh fluffy white bread cheese sarnie but there is something wonderful about a cheese sarnie thats been sat in a bag for hours going sweaty, oooooh yummy!! doesnt work with other fillings though, they either make the bread soggy or you get food poisoning.0 -
Because to eat it as bread after it's frozen tastes disgusting.*
However to have it as toast is fine.
*There is only one type of bread that I found tastes ok to do that but to go to the particular type of bakery that sells it means making an extra shopping trip on Saturday.
Maybe there's something wrong with my palate - but the seeded bread I buy is delicious when defrosted. Get it from any supermarket. Prefer Warburton's or Somerfield seeded.

Not worth more than 30p max.- FT3 Personal Signature0 -
Word of warning. Bought one yesterday. Didn't really want it, so took it back today hoping to exchange for a different one. They wouldn't take it back - even though still in wrapper and with receipt. I have been on phone to Watchdog but they said they weren't interested in halfwits and cut me off. Not a good day.
M&S generally don't take food back: the integrity cannot be guaranteed once it is past the till / in the custody of the buyer and like most stores will throw it away rather than re-sell. A good policy methinks.Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

Hope is not a strategy...A child is for life, not just 18 years....Don't get me started on the NHS, because you won't win...I love chaz-ing!

Agreed.
When I do have to go for sandwich from shop, I usually buy something that I wouldn't make at home... Like Tesco's finest Honey roasted salmon with mint sauce and cucumber and iceberg lettuce...
Or Boots prawn sandwich (very nice big juicy prawns)0 -

Free from the flourishes of many M&S products, the sandwich is exactly as it says on the pack: two slices of white bread with butter and jam.
