ipod shuffle probs

I found a shuffle and the 29 days is now up from police station so have it back...
I have brought the docking station from ebay for £3 and it is registering the ipod but i can not sync or the music..any ideas thanks

Is it charged up?
Getting a shuffle to charge can be a bit tricky, you either need itunes installed or you need to go:
my computer -> Right click on the ipod drive -> Eject
Otherwise it doesn't charge.
Its worth making sure its fully charged then unplug and re connect, and try sync again.0 -
