Durham, I hope things happen soon for you. I was 2 weeks late last time so would deffo try caz's idea!

So chuffed for OH, he asked the lady 3 times if she was sure as there are no girls in his family. Then he cried, will show him tonight the book I was using, how to choose the sex of your baby as I hadn't told him or wanted to get his hopes up. Weird though 'cos I had an idea it was a girl!
Too many children, too little time!!!

The 0+1 will that do from birth til age 4? If so, which one are you looking at tia?

I saw one in mothercare that looks good, but really I'm still looking sorry. And the mothercare site seems to be having issues at the moment! From what I have heard though, you really have to try one of them before you buy as depending on what car you have they can be difficult to get baby in and out when in the first stage position (rear facing).

Mel, have you told your OH/DH how you feel? In a calm and reasonable manner that is. He is being a bit of a sod but you gotta tell him he is getting to you.

    Tara Congrats!!!

OK, I have now officially chosen this car seat. Not neccisarily in that colour.

The review from babyworld looks good, now to have a look at the safety rating, but it is a mother and baby winner so must be good.

It's hard work choosing. I'm looking at cot beds, never had the money to pick before, I'm actually beginning to think that was easier, mad!

I know! DS1 had a second hand car seat, cot, bedding, chair etc. DS2 had a cheap car seat and pram (£99 argos) and the same cot, bedding chair etc!!! Now we are having to buy all new stuff it is harder! Been tight with the cot and matress (Ikea cot + mothercare matress = £60), cheap chair from asda, cheap sheets ikea and cheap blankets wherever I find them. Car seats though, I will spend a bit extra on that one as it will do till age 4, so a saving in the long run.

Goes to show though, kids dont mind what they sleep in really.

  • Mel - ((HUGS)) hun - it's a tough time. I am feeling remarkably unattractive too...not helped by the massive line of stretch marks from when bubba dropped, just been looking at them in the mirror in tears. I know that there is nothing I can do and Bubba will be worth it but I just feel massive and minging. Hubby is being too loving for my liking IYSWIM - all cuddles and smiles but nothing which suggests anything remotely sexy.

I would have a word and just say you know that you are being unreasonable but your hormones are haywire and you would rather he didn't talk about x for the time being. Chances are you wouldn't think about her twice if you were your normal self. (It may be a little white lie but better than getting into a big fight about it).

    Tara - fab news :T

Durham - labour vibes to you...as long as you send them back as soon as you are done with them!!
