Caz, I'm really glad Erin is a bit more settled now you've cut out squash... It doesn't always make a difference for everyone...:)

At our antenatal last week they said we could have 2 birth partners... I asked hubby if he wanted to bring a friend to keep him company... But he didn't think it was the kind of social occasion where you can crack open a couple of cans... So we decided to ask my Aunt... as long as she's not in the middle of a bout of chemo she said she'd be over the moon to come... Only problem is... The nightie I was planning on giving birth in is a little short... And I don't think she'd appreciate sitting there for hours with my ar5e hanging out... So I ordered these from the catalogue... Figured I can give birth in the black one and it should wash up OK lol...

My partner is now very pregnant, we are first timers and I've only just remembered to join this club. Today is nappy shopping for me. We have those washable towely ones that have press studs and a waterproof cover, but want some biodegradable disposables as well. Anyone have any tips on what size and make to get for a baby that I don't know the size of yet? Also if Tushies (without the gel) will end up with us having a very smelly leaky baby?

Welcome to the club doooford! I'm planning on using washable nappies too... Just have no idea what ones to go for... (And I don't know what tushies are... am off to google now )

Some reviews on tushies here... They don't seem fantastic, but might work as a back up...

I don't know if I can have 1 or 2 people with me. Steve deffo wants to come in with me, but he does get VERY squeamish.

Shellsuit - sorry to hear other posters getting on your wick - which boards have you been on?

Back from midwife:D

Am feeling very positive this time, esp after the last awful appt. This midwife was lovely:)
Well Iron levels back above the anaemic range, so I can cut out the iron tabs(i had cut down anyway, they hurt my tum too much) Bump measured perfect:) and head is right, right down...she said she is on call over the weekend and thinks she will be coming out to me:D

The end is in sight:D

Shell - I am almost certain they take into account what you are earning now, as long as it is £200 less/more than what you were earning last tax year:) Well that is what they told and did with me a few years back, I can't imagine the rules have changed that much:)

I just sit and read and think 'oh boy if you said that to me in real life, I'd sock you one in the gob' because some people are just so horrible and rude.

It must be rubbing off on me because I've just been horrible to someone - but they deserve it for annoying me :rotfl: :rotfl:
