Barclay card cheats

Something I read in the free paper London Metro ( money saver).
A spokesperson/ manager at Barclay card admitted that for those people who pay the card off in full and on time, they bring the payments forward occasionally to increase the late fines. This means that sometimes you will not get the full interest free period.
The 'get out' clause they have cited is that they do mention on the bill if your payment date has changed, but rely on customers to check!!
did any one else read this?

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely
in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways -
Chardonnay in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up,
totally worn out and screaming "WOO HOO, What a Ride!
