In Word goto Tools, Letter and Mailing and then Envelopes/Labels0 -
Print on plain paper first and overlay the label sheet to check the alignment.
What are you using to create the labels at the moment?0 -
Hi thanks for that found the doc in word will try that now.
I was just using word and created a table and copied the same thing in to it how ever many times !!!!!!!0 -
OK, I've dug up a mail I sent to someone on this:
See if the following instructions for Word 2003 are any help. This is probably the easiest way of producing labels.
Open MS Word, click the Tools menu, then on Letters and Mailings, click Envelopes and Labels. On the Labels tab, click Options. This is where you can either choose one of the pre-configured labels or 'design' your own. Try one of the built-in labels first by clicking the Label products dropdown and selecting 'Avery A4 and A5 sizes'. In the Product number list, click a label and see if it's suitable by comparing the size shown in Label information with your own labels. Also click Details to check that the Number across and Number down is the same as your label sheet. If there isn't a suitably sized built-in label, click New Label and set the dimensions for your particular labels.
Once you've found or designed a suitable label, click OK on Label Options, and then (still on the Envelopes and Labels dialogue) click New Document. You should now have a new blank document with label 'boxes' ready to type in your names and addresses.
Save this document once you've entered all the addresses and then try a test print on a sheet of A4 and see if it correctly overlays your label sheet.
Hopefully you should be able to follow this and even if you have a different version of Word it should be fairly similar. Let me know if you have any questions.0 -
Depends who makes your Labels. Avery have templates on their website for each of their different sheets of labels!0

Thanks Chippy
That was great, i tried it - I have avery l7162 but it still overlaps on to the next sticker. only the first two on the top left and right are ok.
What do I need to do to make sure that I dont make the print size too big to start with, can i fix the window so it will not go past the point of one sticker, that might help. I either make the text too big or too small0 -
Hi bob
I had this problem before using Avery and other labels.
I discovered that in the printer properties, paper size was set at 'Letter'. I changed it to A4 210x297 and this solved the problem.
It may not help in your case, but you could always have a look and see!0
