you dont have to tell them why your there, just say "shes a crazy b!tch, always on my case etc and i had enough" if they are good mates they will probably tell you that they knew that but couldnt figure out how to tell you!
kip on a mates sofa or even the floor for a few nights, clear your head... you dont need to put up with someone attacking you,
could you go home? any family you could stay with?
no matter what, just please leave, as soon as you can.... xxx
................... and when it calms down a little, do not go back even when she says she will change, they never do. Good luckWow, I got 3 *, when did that happen :j:T:p
It is not illegal to open another persons mail unless you intend to commit fraud - this is frequently incorrectly posted
I live in my head - I find it's safer there:p

Sorry to hear about this Pistun, as everyone else has said, you need to get out of this situation ASAP.
I work in this field, and know for a fact that there are only 19 bed spaces in the UK for men escaping DV :eek: Really shocking I know, particularly as I recently read that the amount of male victims is now reaching almost the same number as female victims.
Where are you based? If you are in Scotland or N. Ireland, there's no safe houses at all. However there are two in Wales, and I believe also something in the West Country.
TBH, though, these are only temporary solutions and the accommodation will not be exactly luxurious. If you have any source of money, and a job, just get out ASAP, change your phone number, etc. and stay with mates or even in a B&B until you can get another place to live. If your OH is not on tenancy, mortgage etc, then change the locks and do not let her in under any circumstances.
The Mankind website should be able to give you some good info too.
Good luck, and keep posting on this site - if nothing else, you will get some well-needed moral support whilst you try and sort this out.

How about asking at your local council housing office? It may be a place at a homeless hostel first, but you ought to get extra housing points as you are escaping domestic violence. If there are no hostels available then councils often put people up in B+B's, not perfect but at lease you will be safe.
My Hubby's ex was violent, I dont know how he could not hit her back.
One day he finally found the courage to leave her, and stayed with a friend. Few years down the line and he has a whole new life, a new family and kids.
Sometimes you have to put yourself first. Nobody is worth putting up with violence from. Get out.
Good Luck and take care xx0 -
Hubby used to have a girlfriend who would lash out at him. She only stopped when he pinned her down & told her in no uncertain terms that if she did it again, he'd hit back.
Op..I can't be of any practical use, but just wanted to say that I think you're very brave for posting.Only dead fish go with the flow...0 -

I'm sure there was something in today's paper about help for guys facing domestic violence, i'll just go & look through them again & see if I can find anything. I hope you can get help, it's just as serious as when a guy hits a girl. Do you have kids? If so I hope they're out also x0

just to echo what others have said, you need to get away from her as soon as possible, my bf had a violent relationship from his ex, he put up with all sorts like yourself, til one day he woke up in hospital, after being in a coma for a few days, she had actually tried to kill him, and they seperated thenenjoy life, we only get one chance at it:)0
