    So you didnt sell it previously when it 1000 but thats a good price now, surely its more justified today then it was then
    I missed the previous high and then psychology got the better of me.

    This time I'm trying to be more pragmatic.

    * Gold has had a huge mini-bull over the last 3 months (or so)
    * Its reaching its recent highs without pausing for much breath
    * A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush
    * I've left a 1/3rd on the table

    I call it prudent, and don't confuse a correction or pullback as the end of the gold bull.

    There's no point investing unless you have an exit strategy, and as I've stated I will go back in at some point.

    Edit: And just to put it in to some sort of perspective, my daughters CTF has basically expereinced the equivillent of 14 years growth in a savings account (based on 5%) in two and a half years.

    Mini, I cannot foretell the future and if Gold continues to skyrocket from here then I will have lost out as well but............... I think your youth is betraying you.

    Have some patience, or if you feel that strongly invest - your choice no one can (or should) tell you what to invest in or when.

    Edit:

    Mini, no one is going to be able to give you the answer you want. If you are unsure of what to do then maybe your inner self is actually giving you a hint.

    If this is the case then the correction could be 10-15% or 25-30%.

    Based on what these percentages?

    No offence intended, but until you enter that scary world of 18+, and reading your constant "Is gold worth a punt" comments, may I respectfully suggest you stick with the National Lottery or scratch cards.

    I thank-you. It wasn't meant to give you a kicking, but politely putting a bit of reality in your direction. There's an old story a mentor told me as a young-un many years ago, it goes sommat like this.......
    A young bull is in a field and sees a big herd of female cows grazing, he turns to the older wiser bull and says "Lets run down the hill and S**g one or 2 cows, the older but wiser Bull, turns to the 'young-un and says, "Nay lad, we'll walk down and S**g them all".
