My hen night is on the 28th!!! We're going down the Quayside - our theme is Gothic Death Angels!! But folk keep telling me that we won't get in to some places dressed up - I might ring round a few bars and see what's what - I'm sure we'll get into the Akenside and Buffalo Joe's though!! BJs is THE best place to let your hair down and dance to cheesy music! LOL

BJ's is horrible!! It's like full of 35+ men leering at you!

I don't like the Quayside for that reason, all the older people seem to go out down there. Thats why I stick to the top end. Mushroom - best cocktail ever!

Hello MSE friends - just wanted to update you on our fantastic weekend in Newcastle. Thanks to your advice, we had a ball! Ended up with 10 Amy Winehouse look alikes down the quayside on Saturday night. Had a meal at a tiny italian restaurant called Olivianas - would highly recommend it - and then after going to a few bars, ended up in Buffalo Joes. We loved it there - music was for our taste (we are all Mums in our late 30's early 40's), and one of our party even had a go on the bucking buffalo! finally got chucked out of there 3 ish - and just had to stagger over the bridge to our hotel - the Travel Lodge Central - basic, but ideal for location.

If someone tells me how to do it, I will post a photo of us all - that is if it is allowed!

Liquids a club and it can vary on how fussy they are some nights. Just depends what bouncers are on the door and what mood their in. Not my type of place if find it a bit young even though i'm only 21

I would avoid the Bigg Market (Vaults good though) I would say the gate or the quayside, as someone mentioned before you'll find it hard to get into Tup Tup, Baby Lynch and Perdu.

I'm sure where ever you go it will be a fab night, I ususally end up in Powerhouse (Gay Club) with the girls as we have a fantastic night without being pestered by leary men lol. Get those dancing shoes out and enjoy! :beer:

My night was fantastic too. Stayed in Jurys Inn by the Life Centre with OH, we went to the party and the Bijoux. Then we just disappeared over to Grosevnor casino and got hammered on champagne considering it was my birthday!
