Could someone give me a basic rundown off my banks(halifax)reaction if i tried to reclaim my charges.Im selfemployed and its been a slow start to the year which has seen me rack up £200ish in charges last month and already up to roughly the same this month thanks to a letter today telling me about 3 £35 charges in one day:mad: .i have a £1000 overdraft and about a £7000 loan.I have a good relationship with them(apart from the charges)wherein i can get loans upto about £8000 without them having to see my books or anything. For example would they want the overdraft and the loan paying off and/or my account closing.

starting is claim is not an problem. The issue sometimes is about hardship and what makes up a hardship case. At the end of the day, that may be the difficult thing as it is normally based on extreme hardship ie mortgage/rent arrears, utilities arrears, that kind of stuff.everythingshouldbefree wrote: »thanks natweststaffmember, ive heard some tales of the banks being awkward with people who have had their charges refunded and was wondering if its common or just a few cases0
