Has anyone been to a CenterParcs in November?
We have never been to a CenterParc before and fancy trying them out. The only time we can go though will be in November, but i see they have alot of outdoor activities which we would be interested in, my question is is there still a lot to do if the weather is bad and not just based around the pool.
Out of interest also we thought of going to the Whinfell forest, does anyone have any thoughts on this choice of village?
Thanks for any advice.

Hiya, My hubby, myself and 3 children went to Whinfell last November for the first time and we thought it was absolutley magical. We are going back this November only for a week this time instead of 5 days as we enjoyed it so much. We never did any of the outdoor activities but we did see them still going on regardless of the weather. However, we did do alot of Christmas type indoor activities i.e stocking making, card making, pantomine, fancy dress party, gingerbread decorating as well as going into the pool which was fantastic and unlike any other pool we have been to before, we also did roller skating, bowling and went to see Santa by horse and carriage where my eldest was allowed to hold the reigns. The people were all very friendly and the park had the Enchanted Forest to walk through were Santa was in his lodge which was beautiful with fake snow and lights and the centre was also decorated with Christmas lights.
We only stayed in the basic comfort lodge and was surprised at how clean and spacious it was compared to other places we have been to in basic i.e Haven. It was even better than the other grades at Haven to be honest.
I would definatly recommend this park and to go in November. It was something that my children are still talking about and we all can't wait to return this November. But look out for codes on here and last year I got £70 off with a code of here. I booked it in March. Hope this has helped xxx :-)0 -
Thanks Pauline1975.
Forgot to ask, how much do the extra activities cost? Just as a rough estimate.
We are looking to go first week of November,so not sure if the christmas theme will be up and running then?! But it does sound nice.
Thanks.0 -
Sorry for the late reply, I haven't been on for a while. For all the activities we did above we paid about £170 and that was with 3 children. Its well worth it as you don't have to take much spends. We never ate out so this saved us some money. I think the Christmas Theme starts in November but not sure of the date. It really is a nice place and at the moment the prices have gone down :-) x0

We always try and go to centre parcs in the winter, there is loads to do...and we did not spend load on eating out etc because we were all so shattered from biking, walking through the forest, footy matches etc that it was pure bliss to go back to the lodge, cook a quick meal or get a take away and relax by the log fire. ...with a lovely glass of wine.
I am pretty sure that Winfell is the only park that also starts xmas in november...the rest I think is the 5th or 6th December. So if you have small children the christmas theme is really magical.
Summer time is great for the BBQ and picnics, but I love winter breaks there the most, and always spend the car journey saying do you think we will get snow??? Well worth it, our kids love it there.0 -

for a discount in November (as long as its not a school holiday) type in PPPXPlease take the time to have a look around my Daughter's website www.daisypalmertrust.co.uk

Due to the prices they charge in season we always went mid week out of season when the children were pre school. Had wonderful holidays there and we especially enjoyed the bonfire night and fireworks, which must have been a November break.
Due to the warmth of the pool and the fact it is included in the holiday price - the winter is a great time to go.
If my two weren't in school at that time of year, that is when I would choose to go. November and February.
Since they started school, we have only been able to afford one break there which was an Easter when our schools broke up at an unusual time.0 -
Whinfell is pretty good, the new American diner was spot on and generally the activities are excellent. If i had any complaints i just feel CP charge excesively for the activities, they have a captive audience and tey should reduce them a bit, that being said most activities are always busy.
It's a good break there i was there last Oct.0 -

With regards to the activity prices, where else can you go and have them all without travelling? I live in the middle of nowhere (not a city) and going bowling alone is a 40 mile around trip, and we don't have lake/forest/cinema/restaurants etc.. In our case it's great.
We went to a caravan park once and it cost so much to travel around to get the same activities.
The pool area is free and the rides and pool are great on all sites.0 -
Hi, Thanks for all your replies.
Well we will be going to center parcs in November but as yet have not booked and the reason is because we have not found a discount code that works. We want to go midweek from Monday2nd november which is the week my son's school goes back.
But i don't know whether to book now or see if i can get a discount code. Any advice anyone? I don't want to miss the boat but at the same time don't want to pay full price!0
