Days Inn, Central Leicester-horrible!

We stayed at the Days Inn in Leicester Centre on Wednesday night, it is run down and anyone thinking about this place should think twice!

For a company that is world wide, this one is a franchise which shows that Days Inn themselves obviously do not inspect their 'properties' on a regular or even yearly basis.

The whole place is in need of decoration, the carpets are badly marked, the TV reception was useless.

The timber windows were falling apart, and foam had been shoved in the holes to stop the draught. The walls were so thin that we had to ask the reception to ring the next room to turn down the music as they seemed to be standing next to me!

We only stayed here as the Travleodges and Travelinns were full, never again!

My hubbys family live in Leicester so when we have been down there visiting we have gone past it many times.I always comment about how badly it looks on the outside and really couldnt of imagined it been any better inside.
Sorry you had a bad experience staying there,at least you know in the future not to book a room there again.
If you are ever wanting a great hotel in Leicester again try the Best Western Leicester Stage Hotel. Its 3 miles out of the town centre in Wigston.

  • The travelodge in the centre of town is pretty nice for a budget hotel......they have a £10 per room special offer on some rooms booked 3 weeks in advance. Great offer!!!

You can get a family room (3 adults, 1 child max) for this price which in my eyes is an absolute bargain!!!!!

Agreed Meggie Travelodge in the town centre does look nice and so it should be as its newly built and at £10 a night a very cheap stay.

  • If you want to give them some bad press, the best way is on tripadvisor.com , a lot of people use that for hotel reviews.
