Help with Sim suddenly acting oddly

My Vodafone monthly contract SIM has started acting a bit oddly. It will no longer save the whole of someones telephone number. For instance, if I add John Smith with a home and mobile number, it will save only one of the numbers and input the name as 'John Smi'. When it copies, it gives a warning 'some of the info cannot be copied'. Now I am not trying to save long names! Is there anyway I can reset the SIM? Or is this another problem? Great if anyone can help, as it's driving me up the wall.

Maybe you've filled it up and there is no space left for full names and numbers. What phone do you have?0

Ive got a Sony Ericsson W910i. Ive reset the phone to factory settings, thinking it was that, but it is actually the contacts on my SIM. There are only about 50.0

SIM memory isn't that good I have that phone do you have a momery card in it?0

Yes I do, but Ive deleted everything on that.
The sim never had a problem before, but suddenly is shortening everyones name. I can add another 50, but it only saves half the name (drops that last few letters off). Plus it saves only one number for each contact. It was fine until this last week.0 -
In that case ring your provider, if the sim is damaged theres no fixing it.
Have you tried turning off save to sim in the options? To see if that works.0 -
Yes, I've deleted all on the sim, changed settings on the phone but still it doesn't want to play, I guess Vodafone will need to send a new one, thanks anyway.0

Not much you can do to fix a SIM card.0
