Our local Sainsburys had them last week at £24.95. They had them for a while at £39 but after a week or two down to this.......
  • I ordered one from Boots a while back, when they were offer of the week. The water level indicator is not very easy to read - particularly when you're filling the kettle. If you overfill the kettle even a small amount it spews boiling water out of the spout - so dangerous. It went straight back - looks or no looks. I really would advise everyone to stay well away from this one.

friend of mine got one of these @ £24.99 at sainsburys
few bad points cant really see the level when filling up
the lid is a bit fiddly
filter has fallen out when touched, however dont touch it and it will be fine

its looks great and for £24.99 a bargain, i wouldnt pay more than this though

Avoid plastic lined metal kettles as they tend to leak after a while - my previous Rowenta had just started peeing over the power base, not exactly safe!

There's another reason to avoid plastic kettles. The chlorine that is added to the water can often react with the plastic in the kettles which then adds a decidely unpleasant taste to the water.
