That does not sound too good!
If it does that it will be going back even at half price.
I have read reviews on it though and seemed ok, so we will see :rolleyes:0 -
I have never touched the filter and never had an issue with it.
I gave one to a relative and they have a problem with it. You don't actually need it, so I would chuck it away myself.
I have had an issue with the lid - the handle works loose and you have to retighten it occasionally.
On the positive side - it looks great, is very quite and fast!
Boots had it as an offer of the month at the same price. It certainly was about £80. I would recommend it on balance.

They're not a great design IMO, I'd steer clear. Reminds me of the £90 Siemens Porsche kettles that broke after a year.
But Co-op department stores have them half price at £39.99 too if you really must.
Me, I bought a Kenwood stainless steel model today from Argos reduced to £19.99 and it's better made than the Eon e.g. proper steel interior, not plastic lined like the Eon. They even do a new version that lights up inside for £34.99 if you like chavvy stuff
Avoid plastic lined metal kettles as they tend to leak after a while - my previous Rowenta had just started peeing over the power base, not exactly safe!0 -
There's loads of bad reviews on Amazon aswell.0

LX Direct also do this kettle at 39.99 I bought it and used a £10 discount code also bought the matching toaster with another code so got the two for £60 so very pleased with them both.0

We have one of these at work that's still going strong. Had it since they first came out.0
