Where have we been in the past month with le monsters?:

Samphire Hoe https://www.samphirehoe.co.uk Took them here to learn to ride their bikes. Minimal charge for parking.

Hythe seafront - flat, free parking at weekends and took the kids to ride their scooters.

Romney Hythe & Dymchurch Railway - the ride down to Dungeness was a bit boring for them - about an hour. They had more fun on the pebble beach at Dungeness than on the train

MW Amusements at Dymchurch - Let them have a go on kiddie sized/friendly rides, then off to Ashford Outlet for retail shopping for Mrs V whilst I looked after the kids on the play equipment and chatted up the other mums.

Mote Park, Maidstone - took them here for a play on the equipment and for bike rides.

    Hi
Kent County Council do some really nice kent walks on their website, they give a printable map and photo's of key parts of the walk together with a description. We've done a couple of them and can really recommend them (we're early 60's).
A very interesting place to visit also is Quex Park in Westgate. It doesn't seem very well known but the house is interesting for children and adults with everything a Major Powel-Cotton collected on his round the world travels, I found his gun collection particularly interesting, my wife likes the house/furniture and my grandkids like the stuffed (taxidermid) animals. The gardens are also lovely. It may sound a bit stuffy but my wife and I visit about every 2-3 years and find it interesting every time.
