hi i am interested in fitting a new fire place in my new house but there is a baxi boiler installed, i have seen what baxi offer and it seems they cost around £1500, which is alot as i am a first time buyer and for that money i can get a new comi fitted.
Is there anyway of running the boiler without the firefront or is there anychance of using a normal fireplace or last of all is there any companies that do cheaper firefront.
Thanks you for your time.

You CANNOT run the back boiler without the front, it is part of the gas installation and would be illegal and potentially dangerous!
If you wanted to use a "normal" fire front, you would need to remove the back boiler etc and then you would need a new boiler elsewhere.
Depending how old the Baxi is, you will be limited to certain fire fronts,IF available.
I would imagine the only company that would/could supply a fire front to a Baxi, would be Baxi, or their reps.Don`t steal - the Government doesn`t like the competition0 -

I guess it also depends on the style of fire front the OP desires.
The radiant fire fronts are about £300 - £400 each plus fitting for a baxi bermuda. Expect to pay 2-3x this for a living flame style . Does it really take 6-8 hours to fit?"Now to trolling as a concept. ....
