Hi
I am looking at buying a recordable DVD player for the other half for christmas, one that you connect to a TV not for PC please. I have looked and looked and looked and am now confused. I don't have clue what I should be looking for (except if it looks good and will fit in with the other tv bits and pieces ::) ) and was hoping that some one would be able to help guide me in my quest?
Many thanks
Murtle

Hi Murtle, If you haven't already bought a dvd recorder for your spouse, check out pricerunner.com Click on dvd players & then recorders. You can rearrange list of dvdr's into price or popularity. It explains most of the technical terms, & what each unit contains. The basic difference between recorders is whether you select to use the RAM method,(media), or DVD-or/and DVD+R & RW. I've simplified things. Philips etc.uses the latter & Panasonic etc. the former systems.0
